Matt is Vice President of Software Engineering at HomeX. He joined the HomeX Applied Science team in 2019. For the last year, he led the Platform Engineering team, and is now responsible for IT and security & compliance functions.
Prior to joining HomeX, Matt spent almost 6 years at Amazon, where he developed workflows to support general knowledge question answering capabilities for Amazon’s Alexa virtual assistant, which was first launched with the Echo smart speaker in 2014. Following the success of Alexa in the US and UK markets, Matt and his team of software and knowledge engineers developed Alexa’s ability to answer questions in multiple languages as Alexa launched in marketplaces across the globe.
Matt holds a BEng in Electronic and Software Engineering from the University of Birmingham. He now lives in Cambridge, UK. When he’s not working, Matt enjoys spending time in the Cambridgeshire countryside with his wife and their 2 children.

Michael is the Chief Executive Officer and founder of HomeX. He has built HomeX to be a positive force, leveraging technology to radically improve the home services industry for everyone: consumers, contractors, distributors, and manufacturers. Prior to HomeX, Michael was President and CEO of Globe Union Group (Gerber Plumbing Fixtures and Danze Faucets) and served as President of Werner Ladder Co., a family operation that spanned 75 years.
Michael is a Phi Beta Kappa graduate of Stanford University, where he earned a bachelor’s degree in International Relations and a master’s degree in Engineering Management and Science. Michael is past Chairman of the Lymphoma Research Foundation, on the Executive Committee of the Chicago Council on Global Affairs, and has been active in the Economic Club of Chicago, the Young Presidents Organization, and the National Kitchen and Bath Association. When he’s not working or volunteering, you’ll find him with his family at hockey games or on his skis, mountain, or road bikes. He resides in Chicago with his wife Laura, and they have three grown children.
Vikas is Vice President of Software Engineering at HomeX, where he oversees infrastructure, data analytics, and measurability.
Prior to HomeX, Vikas spent the first half of his career in increasingly senior technology roles in banking, the public sector, and mobile technology. Over the last seven years, Vikas has been a founding or early team member at Mavencare and Clearbanc where he built and scaled the product and technology organizations to more than 35 people and 75 people respectively. At Clearbanc, a fin-tech lending platform, Vikas was instrumental in raising hundreds of millions of dollars in debt and equity to scale the technology and support international expansion.
Vikas holds a BMath from the University of Waterloo. He currently lives in Toronto with his wife and two daughters. In his free time he enjoys reading, cooking and spending time outdoors with his kids.
