Alexandra is Chief Marketing Officer, where she oversees marketing, brand, and product design for HomeX and its service companies.
Prior to HomeX, Alex was Vice President of Global Communications and Product Marketing at CareerBuilder, a marketplace for job seekers and employers. Prior to that, Alex was Head of CRM at Kraft Heinz, where she oversaw its only direct-to-consumer channel. She successfully executed the re-launch of the Kraft Heinz My Food and Family brand and program, modernizing one of the largest food and beverage platforms in the United States. In previous roles, she led marketing for Rise Interactive, a Chicago tech start-up, and she spent six years at Walgreen Co., including in its eCommerce division.
Alex received a Bachelor’s of Science with Honors in Consumer Economics from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign. Raised in Deerfield, IL, Alex currently resides in Chicago. In her free time, Alex loves spending time with her family, finding somewhere to paddle board, and exploring new cities.
Michael is the Chief Executive Officer and founder of HomeX. He has built HomeX to be a positive force, leveraging technology to radically improve the home services industry for everyone: consumers, contractors, distributors, and manufacturers. Prior to HomeX, Michael was President and CEO of Globe Union Group (Gerber Plumbing Fixtures and Danze Faucets) and served as President of Werner Ladder Co., a family operation that spanned 75 years.
Michael is a Phi Beta Kappa graduate of Stanford University, where he earned a bachelor’s degree in International Relations and a master’s degree in Engineering Management and Science. Michael is past Chairman of the Lymphoma Research Foundation, on the Executive Committee of the Chicago Council on Global Affairs, and has been active in the Economic Club of Chicago, the Young Presidents Organization, and the National Kitchen and Bath Association. When he’s not working or volunteering, you’ll find him with his family at hockey games or on his skis, mountain, or road bikes. He resides in Chicago with his wife Laura and they have three grown children, including Stephanie Werner-Payen, who is a co-founder of HomeX.
