Can a bad IAT sensor cause a misfire?

Sending P0304 and P0123 codes. The single cylinder misfire is not affected by the IAC (Intake Air Temperature) sensor/circuit malfunction. When other engine services are being performed and just needs to be re-connected, the IAT sensor wire is inadvertently disconnected.
