Can a heat pump last 30 years?

Heat pumps have a reputation lasting between 8 and 12 years -- from my experience -- on average. Some last longer -- some less.... those furnaces that you seem envious 30 years, besides working only less than half the time heat pumps do not work -- without AC -- so, in proportion, heat pumps also with them.
