Can a room be too cold for a fridge?

If the room gets too cold, the reactor will be shut down. The Major Appliance Consumer Action Panel advises against keeping an extra fridge or freezer in an area with a low temperature. The compressor won't run at all when it's 38 to 42 degrees.
