Can AC stabilizer be used for fridge?

Refrigerators come with a high and low voltage cutoff, but they don't have in-built voltage stabilizers. If the voltage in your area shoots up or down much above or below the limit in which the appliance can operate, it's not necessary to use a voltage stabilizer.
