Can i run my oil furnace on a generator?

The only way to do it right is with a generator. It will take more than an 800 watt generator to run the normal oil fired furnace because the burner and blower will be running at the same time. The burner has a motor that draws the oil out of the tank and a small pump that injects the oil into the ignitor.
