The higher the CCA (cold cranking performance) rating on the battery, the more power the battery contains. If your battery has a CCA rating which is too low, the motor won’t receive the current it needs during the start up process. This can cause heat and additional stress on the parts of the motor as the electric motor will be starved of current.
