Can toilet drain pipes freeze?

Although it's not very common, your toilet drain pipes can freeze. If your toilet drain pipes are frozen, the water will back up into the toilet bowl and overflow whenever you flush. So it’s best to avoid flushing if you have frozen pipes. Try pouring hot water down the toilet drain. If this doesn’t help, turn the toilet water valve off and contact your local plumber for assistance.
