Can you drywall over a drop ceiling?

In some houses, falling ceilings hide utility tubes, conductwork and electrical wiring. Instead of redirecting them, you have two options: Create boxes built from wooden frames and dry walls and install the dry wall of the ceilings around these objects, or create your suspended ceiling with a new framed roof.
