Can you put aluminum foil in a gas oven?

Gas ovens should never be covered with materials such as aluminum foil or with holes in the oven bottom. Carbon monoxide poisoning can be caused by blocking the air flow through the oven. A fire hazard can be caused by aluminum foil linings trapping heat.
