Can you put chlorine tablets in a water softener?

In high concentration, chlorine is damaging to the resins. Put a big blue (20 inch) ahead of the carbon but after the softener, if you have a carbon filter tank the size of your softener tank. When you have an odor, make sure it is in the cold water, not the hot, keep a tablet in the big blue.
