Can you screw an electrical box to a stud?

The electrical boxes mounted on the wall during the new construction must be placed so that, when adding dry walls, the face of the box is thrown with (or very easily inscribed) the surface of the walls. This usually means its assembly to extend 12 inches beyond the face of the walls.
