Can you use a toilet drain for a shower?

You can drain the new shower into the old sewer pipes, but you will need to remove some of the old plumbing. A leaking drain is something nobody likes. If you want to remove the old toilet valve, you have to pry it loose. 2 feet of the 4-inch sewer pipe can be exposed if the sub-floor is removed.
