Do you need a fan isolator switch?
BS 7671 does not specifically address the provision of isolating devices for extract fans in bathroom or shower rooms. The requirement for switch off for mechanical maintenance is fulfilled by a fan isolator mounted next to the fan. Is that correct? The neutral conductor doesn't need to be interrupted by the switch.
