Do you use pipe sealant on flare fittings?
If you want a leak-free seal, do not use Teflon tape or pipe sealant on flare ends. Grease, oil and thread sealant can accumulate at the flare end of fitting. Only use a wrench on the surfaces of the fittings. If a leak is detected, tighten more.
