Do you use teflon tape on galvanized pipe?

It will not become brittle or flaky from a joint because pipe dope never hardens. To apply pipe dope to the male end of a threaded pipe or fitting, you have to use the supplied brush that has been loaded with compound. It's quicker than using Teflon tape because of the messier nature of pipe dope.
