Does boiler pressure go up when heating is on?

When the heating is on, the pressure on your boiler gauge will increase. Is this true? During its heating cycle, your boiler should not rise more than 1 bar. There is a chance of a fault with the expansion vessel or pressure release valve if your boiler heats up more than 1 bar.
