Does my well pump have a check valve?
There are many well pumps with built-in check valves. We recommend that a check valve be installed in the discharge line within 25 feet of the pump and below the draw down level of the water supply, even if the pump has a built-in check valve. Is that correct? The max pressure of the pump must be exceeded by the check valves pressure rating.
