Does voltage decrease in a series circuit?
Each part of the circuit has the same current. The sum of the individual voltage drops is equal to the amount of voltage applied to a series circuit. There is a direct correlation between the size of the resistor and the voltage drop across it. No current will flow if the circuit is broken.
