Does voltage increase or decrease in a series circuit?

In a series circuit, the current is the same everywhere. In a series circuit, the voltages are divided so that the increase in the source's voltage is equal to the decrease in the resistors. As resistors are added to a source of constant voltage, resistance increases and current decreases.
