How do I know if my dryer idler pulley is bad?

The pulley bearing needs to be inspected. The pulley wheel can be turned by hand. The bearing is bad if the wheel barely turns or doesn't turn at all. The pulley brackets should be removed from the dryer if the bearing is bad.
