How Do I Know if My Dryer Vent Is Clogged?

If your clothes take a long time to dry, the outside of the dryer is very hot after use, there’s a burning smell, or you notice excessive lint buildup, it’s probably time to check for a clog. A clogged dryer vent will force your machine to work much harder to dry clothes, and that can result in overheating or other stress to your machine. Investigating and treating a clog sooner rather than later can extend the life of the appliance (and your washables).
