How do i remove an old rusted toilet seat?

Use strips of duct tape or thin cardboard to protect the top of the toilet. Then use a close-quarter hacksaw to cut through the bolts. If you don't have a saw like this one, you can use a standard hacksaw to cut through the rusted bolts.
