How do I replace a Carburetor in a Gas Leaf Blower?

The leaf blower's carburetor mixes air and gasoline to make a gas. If the engine does not start due to lack of fuel, you might need to replace the carburetor. It's cheaper and more practical to replace the carburetor than it is to rebuild it.

Follow these steps to fix your issue:

  1. Drain the fuel tank

In a well-ventilated area, remove the fuel cap and empty the fuel from the tank into a container.

  2. Disconnect the spark plug wire

Remove the wire from the spark plug to make sure the leaf blower can start.

  3. Remove the air filter cover

The air filter cover needs to be removed before the screws can be removed.

  4. Remove the carburetor

The mounting screws on the carburetor need to be removed. Pull the air box out of the lever. If you want to remove the fuel lines from the carburetor, you should note the configuration of the fuel lines. The carburetor is a good idea to discard.

  5. Install the new carburetor

The fuel lines should be pushed onto the Carburetor. The throttle and choke levers should be positioned in the air box. Attach the mounting screws to the side of the engine.

  6. Reinstall the air filter cover

Attach the air filter cover to the carburetor with the screws.

  7. Connect the spark plug

Attach the spark plug wire back to it's place.

Time required:

15 minutes.

You would need the following tools:

needle nose pliers, torx screwdriver, work gloves.
