If you find water leaking from the opening to the tub, replace the door seal or tub gasket. When the tub gasket is leaking, water leaks from the dishwasher door. If the tub gasket is damaged, it can be replaced.
Follow these steps to fix your issue:
Remove the door seal.
Pull the door seal out of the channel that is on the edge of the door. The door seal faces the outside of the channel when you remove it. The door seal has to be removed.
Clean the channel that holds the seal.
Dirt in the channel can keep the new seal seating and seal properly, so it's best to clean the channel with a mild dishwashing detergent and a cotton swab. Allow the channel to dry completely.
Warm the new seal to remove creases.
The door seal is usually creased when you remove it from the package. If you want to smooth out any folds, warm the gasket with a heat gun or blow dryer. Don't use a high heat setting on the hair dryer or heat gun, it could burn you.
Install the new door seal.
To find the middle of the seal, fold it in half. Press the seal's midpoint into the center point of the channel on the top of the dishwasher if the seal is facing out. Without stretching the gasket, press the seal across the rest of the top and evenly down both sides of the door. Without stretching the seal, press the seal as far into the channel as possible. The bottom of the door opening can be sealed with an inch or two of seal extending beyond the bottom of the channel on each side. To push the gasket into the channel, close the dishwasher door. Check the seating and alignment of the gasket when you open the door. To make sure a good fit and seal, remove and reinstall the gasket. It is normal for the dishwasher door to be a little more difficult to close after you install the new door seal.
