How do I replace a High-Limit Safety Thermostat in a Dryer?

If the heating element has a short circuit or the operating thermostat fails, the high-limit safety thermostat shuts off the heat in the dryer. When the dryer cools, the safety thermostat goes back on. The dryer won't heat if the safety thermostat doesn't open. If it fails to trip and shut off the heat, the thermal cut-off fuse will blow to stop the dryer from overheating.
