How do I replace a Motor Controller in a Treadmill?

Follow these steps to fix your issue:

  1. Shut off the electricity

    Plug the treadmill's power cord into the wall outlet after removing the key.

  2. Remove the motor hood

    The belly pan has screws securing it to the motor hood. Remove the motor hood from the treadmill frame.

  3. Remove the motor controller

    The wires should be disconnected. The screws need to be removed. The motor controller should be removed.

  4. Install the new motor controller

    The frame has a motor controller on it. Attach the motor controller mounting screws. Attach the wires to the motor controller.

  5. Reinstall the motor hood

    The frame has the motor hood on it. Remove the motor hood mounting screws.

  6. Restore power

    The treadmill needs to be plugged into the electrical outlet.

Time required:

15 minutes.

You would need the following tools:

phillips screwdriver, work gloves.
