How do I replace a Tine in a Front-Tine Tiller?

Follow these steps to fix your issue:

  1. Disconnect the spark plug wire

    Pull the spark plug wire out of the plug.

  2. Remove the clevis pins

    The cotter pins can be removed from the clevis pins.

  3. Remove the tines

    The tines can be removed from the tine shaft.

  4. Clean and lubricate tine shaft

    Sandpaper can be used to remove rust and deposits from the tine shaft. To clean the shaft, use a cloth. Grease can be applied to the tine shaft.

  5. Install the new tines

    The tine shaft needs to be moved onto the new tine assembly. Take the holes in the tine shaft and put them in the tines. The clevis pins need to be secured with the cotter pins.

  6. Reconnect the spark plug

    The spark plug wire needs to be reconnected.

Time required:

15 minutes.

You would need the following tools:

general-purpose grease, pliers, work gloves.
