How do I replace a User Interface Control Board in a Dehumidifier?

The control panel houses the user interface control board. The control board has a wire harness connecting it to the user interface control board. The user interface control board should be replaced if the selection buttons don't respond.

Follow these steps to fix your issue:

  1. Disconnect power

The wall outlet has a power cord.

  2. Remove the collection bucket

The front of the dehumidifier case has a water collection bucket.

  3. Remove the air filter

The air filter needs to be removed from the front grille. If the air filter is dirty, it's time to clean it.

  4. Remove the front grille

The screws that secure the front grille to the frame need to be removed. Lift the front grille. The control board wires are still attached to the user interface.

  5. Remove the user interface control board

Attach the control board to the control panel with mounting screws. Lift the control board from the grille. The user interface control board should be discarded.

  6. Install the new user interface control board

The control board needs to be plugged into the wire harness. Attach the control board to the control panel with the mounting screws.

  7. Reinstall the front grille

Attach the front grille to the dehumidifier with the mounting screws.

  8. Replace the filter and collection bucket

The front grille has a filter on it. The collection bucket needs to be reinstalled in the front of the dehumidifier.

  9. Restore power

The wall outlet has a plug for the dehumidifier.

Time required:

30 minutes.

You would need the following tools:

phillips screwdriver, work gloves.
