How do I replace an Electronic Control Board in a Refrigerator?

The electronic control board controls the compressor and the defrost cycle. When it senses that the compressor needs to run to keep the fridge cool, it sends power to the compressor and fans. The electronic control board receives signals from the temperature sensors in the fridge and freezer. The control board has this information. You can do a diagnostic test on the electronic control board to see how well it works. The most common test is the Forced Defrost test. Instructions on running the diagnostics can be found in the tech sheet. If the control board is malfunctioning, you should replace it.
