How do I troubleshoot Kenmore 110 Model Vmax Top-Load Washer that has a Drive Motor that is failing?

Check the wire harness connections between the drive motor and the electronic control board when you unplug the washer. Remove any wires that are loose. If the wire harness is damaged, you should replace it. You can open the lid and spin it inside the basket. There should be no restrictions on the rotation of the impeller. If the impeller doesn't spin freely, remove the restriction from the drive system. The basket should be replaced if it spins freely. The main electronic control board should be replaced if the problem continues.
