How do I troubleshoot Kenmore 665 Model Range that has a Meat Probe that is shorted?

The range can be unplugged or disconnected. The meat probe can be unplugged and used to measure the resistance. The meat probe should be replaced if the resistance isn't 59,000. Check for a firm connection between the meat probe and the jack in the oven if the resistance of the meat probe is ok. Don't replace the jack if it's damaged or worn out. If the meat probe jack is loose, connect the wire harness connection. If the wire harness is damaged, you should replace it.
