How do I troubleshoot Kenmore 665 Model Range that has a Oven Temperature Circuit that is shorted?

The range should be unplugged or power disconnected. If the oven temperature sensor wire harness is loose, you should connect it. If the wire harness is damaged, you need to replace it. Measure the oven temperature sensor resistance. The oven temperature sensor needs to be replaced if the resistance isn't very high. The electronic oven control should be replaced if the oven temperature sensor resistance and wire harness connections are ok.
