How do I troubleshoot Kenmore 790 Model Self-Cleaning Freestanding Range that has a Door Lock that is failed?

Unplug the range and make sure there are no loose connections between the electronic control board and the oven door lock assembly. If the wire harness is damaged, replace it. To check the door lock switch, use a multimeter to measure resistance through the switch. Push the switch arm in and out to check the resistance. If the switch is ok, the meter should measure near 0 ohms with the switch pushed in and OL. If the meter shows the same resistance in both tests, replace the door lock assembly. Resistance can be found through the lock motor. If the meter shows infinite resistance through the lock motor, replace the door lock assembly.
