How do I troubleshoot Kenmore Electronic Control Model Freezer that is displaying E8 or E9 error code?

The freezer has a thermistor inside. Check the thermistor wire harness for damage if the freezer isn't plugged in. The thermistor needs to be replaced if the wire harness is okay.
