How do I troubleshoot Kenmore Elite 721 Model Electric Range that has a Key that is stuck?

The code is displayed on the control display. Check the ribbon wire connection between the control panel and the control board for the cooktop control. Check the control panel ribbon wire connection on the oven control board if the F3 appears. If the ribbon wire is loose, connect it to the control. Press all keys on the affected control from different angles to free up the stuck key if the ribbon wire connection is okay. Plug the range back in to restore power. Try this test if the code continues to work. Plug the range and remove the ribbon wire from the control. Plug the range back in to restore power. The affected control board should be replaced if the code appears with the ribbon wire unplugged. The control panel should be replaced if the code doesn't show up with the ribbon wire unplugged.
