How do I troubleshoot Kenmore He5 Steam Front-Load Washer that has a Error?

Check the wire harness connections between the display control board and the temperature sensor. If the wire harness is damaged, replace it. The temperature sensor should be replaced if the wire connections are okay.

Check the wire harness connections between the motor control board and the drive motor when you plug the washer. Check the wire harness between the motor control board and the main control board. Remove any loose wires or replace the damaged wire harness. The drive motor with the tachometer should be replaced if the wire connections are okay. The motor control board must be replaced if the problem continues.

The door doesn't open for 3 consecutive cycles or the door switch says the door is open with the door lock engaged. If you've run 3 cycles without opening the door, it's time to close the door. Push on the door to make sure it's completely closed if the door switch indicates the door is open. Check the wire harness connections between the door lock/switch assembly and the main electronic control board before plugging the washer. If the wire harness is damaged, you can connect it or replace it. The door lock/switch assembly should be replaced if the wire connections are OK.
