Check the wire harness connections on the diverter motor and diverter position switch when you unplug the dishwasher. Remove any loose wires. Use a multimeter to check the resistance of the diverter motor wires if the wiring connections are okay. The resistance of the meter should be 4,000. If the meter measure infinite resistance, replace the diverter motor. Measure the resistance through the diverter position switch if the diverter motor is ok. The meter should measure infinite resistance with the switch plunger in one position and near 0 ohms of resistance with the switch plunger in the other position. The diverter position switch should be replaced if the meter doesn't measure the same resistance regardless of the switch position.
