How do I troubleshoot Maytag 2015 Centennial Top-Load Washer that is displaying F1 E2 error code?

There is a failure in the motor control circuit. Check the electronic control board wiring when you unplug the washer. The drive motor wiring needs to be looked at. Remove any wires that are loose. You can open the lid and spin it inside the basket. There should be no restrictions on the rotation of the impeller. If the impeller doesn't spin freely, remove the restriction from the drive system. The main electronic control board needs to be replaced if the basket spins freely.
