If you find an item stuck under the overfill float, remove it. The dishwasher won't fill if the overfill float stays in the "up" position. Shut the water supply valve if the dishwasher isn't being used. Check the water inlet valve screen for obstructions if the water supply line is disconnected. If the screen on the water valve is blocked, it can cause the valve to stick open and cause a flood in the kitchen. If the screen is clear, place the end of the water supply line in a shallow pan and open the water supply valve to see if the water is coming from the supply line. If the water in your dishwasher doesn't flow, you should have a plumbing professional fix it. If the water flows okay, you can check the wiring connections on the water inlet valve and replace loose wires if necessary. The water inlet valve and electronic control board may need to be replaced if the wires are okay.
