How do I troubleshoot Maytag Maxima Front-Load Washer that is displaying F7 E1 error code?

The wiring between the motor control board and the drive motor should be checked. Check the wire harness between the motor control board and the main control board. Attach the loose wires. Any damaged wire harnesses should be replaced. Check the wiring connections to make sure the spin basket rotates smoothly. There is an obstruction between the tub and spin basket in the drive system if not resolved. The drive motor should be replaced if the spin basket rotates. The motor control board needs to be replaced if the problem persists.
