How do you adjust a residential water pressure regulator?

The top nut of the adjustment screw needs to be positioned over the jaws of the wrench. The screw should be turned in a clockwise direction to increase the water pressure and in a counterclockwise direction to decrease the water pressure. One or two revolutions at a time is how to make the adjustment. To test the pressure, open the faucet.
