How do you charge AA batteries in the freezer?

The self discharge rate will be slowed down by storing them at lower temperatures. NiMH batteries that are stored at freezing will retain most of their charge for a month. It could be a good idea to store them in a freezer. It's a good idea to bring them back to room temperature before using them.
