How do you check line voltage with a multimeter?

The dial should be turned to. m is included in some digital multimeters. The black lead needs to be inserted into the COM jack. The V jack has a red lead in it. Black lead first, red second, connect the test leads to the circuit. You can read the measurement in the display.
