How do you clean the coils on an electric stove?

The stove should be turned off, unplugged, and the coils cool. Don't get the electrical connections wet by washing the coils. To remove soap and particles from the coils, rinse them with clean water. Plug the coils back into the stove after they have been dry with a soft clean dry cloth.
