How do you clean the orifice on a gas stove?

All of the stove's burners and oven cabinet should be shut off. Is this true? To get to the ignitors, lift the top of the gas stove. To remove caked-on debris, gently brush the ignitors and the surrounding area with a toothbrush. The pilot orifice has a tiny hole in it.
