How do you fix a burnt wall socket?
If the terminals are out of power, you can use a voltage tester. Carefully remove the box from the burnt outlet's faceplate. Unless it's a ground fault circuit interrupter outlet, it's recommended to replace with an Arc-fault circuit interrupter.
