How do you get rid of thick limescale in toilet?

Combine two to three cups of white and borax. Make sure the areas affected by limescale are under the liquid by pouring it directly into your toilet bowl. If you leave it for two hours, the limescale will be dissolved. To clean the toilet, use a toilet scrub brush.
