How do you ground a trailer light?
The lamp needs to be grounded either through its mounting studs being in direct contact with the trailer frame or by running a jumper wire from the lamp to the trailer frame. The trailer frame will be used as a ground wire if the trailer connector is ground at the front of the trailer.
